Master Skin Check Up

At Vcare, like hair we do Master Skin check up which include the following tests,

Derma Scan

We use Derma Scan, which is a simple box that uses ultraviolet (UV) light to show sun damage that is invisible to the naked eye. It is NOT a skin cancer screening. Remember, even a suntan is harmful. Tanning (under the sun or in a tanning bed) is an outward sign of internal skin damage.

Comprehensive Dermal Scanning

Undergoing this non-invasive and objective skin assessment is somewhat akin to a full body health check that you might have at the doctors. For unlike other systems on the market which merely photograph your skin's level of sun damage our Dermascan technology uses 7 different parameters to provide an impressive range of data relating to different aspects of your skin's health. We recommend this professional assessment to be taken at least twice a year to track the status of your skin, any improvement and changes under a new course of skincare and any underlying issues.

At Vcare Skin Clinic our Dermascan gives us a precise evaluation of the dermal condition. Barrier function of the skin is determined by the thickness of the epidermis. Free radical damage , illness, poor diet, stress and pollution all play a role in this ageing process , and can be viewed within a click of a button.

With ageing the collagen support layer in the dermis becomes unstable and fragmented, weakening the support structure to the epidermis. Through the dermascan technology we can now see that the treatments work deep within the dermis, initiating an excitory response that recreates. Collagen fibres, enhances elasticity and rejuvenated the skin.

Analyser Images The Following:

Clogging and Blackheads

Clogging and blackheads can result from dirt, oil and makeup being trapped in open pores causing the skin to become clogged and blackheads or breakouts may appear.

Oily Skin

Oily skin is caused by overactive sebaceous (oil) glands. The skin appears shiny and thick and breakouts may appear on this skin type.

Pigmentation can be caused from exposure to the UV rays like the sun. Hormones may also cause pigmentation on the skin.

Dry Skin

Dry skin is generally caused by minimal oil on the skin. As you can see on this image, a dry skin may cause the skin to flake. It is essential to use products that contain moisturising ingredients to nourish a dry skin.

Healthy Skin

As seen on this image, healthy skin is shown to be clear and smooth not oily or dry.

Pimple on Hair Line

The Skin and Hair Analysis can reveal any problems on the hair scalp. Image shows a pimple found on the scalp.

Woods Lamp Examination

A Wood light examination is used when certain skin infections (ACNE/FUNGAL INFECTIONS) are suspected. The skin is illuminated with an ultraviolet light (also known as a black light) in a dark room. The ultraviolet light makes some fungi or bacteria glow brightly. The light also accentuates the skin's pigment (melanin), making pigmentation abnormalities, such as vitiligo (see Vitiligo), more visible.
