Body Contouring Program

Cryolipolysis is a medical treatment used to destroy fat cells. Its principle relies on controlledcoolingto near 4 Celsius for the non-invasive localized reduction offatdeposits in order to reshape body contours. The exposure to cooling is set so that it causescell deathofsubcutaneous fattissue without apparent damage to the overlyingskin. The procedure is billed as a non-surgical alternative toliposuction."Cryolipolysis" is derived from "cryogenic" and "lipolysis."Generically the process can also be known as "fat freezing".

Non-Surgical Lipo

Non-surgical liposuction techniques use radio frequency, ultrasound to reduce fat. Devices are applied directly to the skin of the treatment area and do not employ injections. Although fat loss is more subtle with non-surgical lipolysis techniques compared to surgical liposuction, non-surgical lipolysis techniques have several advantages including reduced risk, reduced cost and reduced healing time.

Is the procedure painful?

No, the treatment is painless. A slight tingling and heat sensation may sometimes be felt during the treatment but this is not an uncomfortable feeling.

On which parts of the body is the treatment most beneficial?

Thighs (saddle bags), Abdomen (love handles), Hips (flanks), Buttocks, Upper arm i.e. the areas of localised fat. However it cannot be applied to the head, neck, chest, back and over bony areas. In these areas, we are only capable of doing our Radio Frequency skin tightening.

By what other names are Ultrasonic Cavitation referred to?

Ultrasound Cavitation; Cavitation; Ultra Cavitation; Body Contouring; Body Sculpting

Is Ultrasonic Cavitation a safe procedure?

Yes, the procedure is a safe, comfortable and non-invasive procedure with virtually no side effects. It does not require anaesthesia, leaves no scars and does not require any post treatment. The ultrasound energy is designed to target the fat tissues beneath the skin, and does not affect the blood vessels, nerves and connective tissues.

How long is the treatment session?

Treatment times may vary depending on the area being treated but a typical session will last between thirty minutes to an hour. This includes the preparation, treatment and post treatment procedures.

Does it work on Cellulite?

Yes, low frequency ultrasound (40kHz) generally works well on cellulite by focusing the 'cavitation effect' on the superficial fat tissue. The best results are obtained when the ultrasound is applied in conjunction with the 'radio frequency' (RF) treatment which helps to tighten and tone the skin. This will then leave your skin smooth, tones and cellulite free!

What instant result can I expect?

The ultrasonic cavitation treatment will often have immediate results which you can feel, touch and see. Some clients can experience between 1/4 to 3 inches of circumference reduction after a single session with increasing results after subsequent visits. However, more significant results will be noticed after the second and third treatment.

What long term results can I expect with ultrasonic cavitation?

You can achieve volume reduction of fatty tissues and toning of the body. The results are gradual over a number of weeks as your body clears the broken down fatty tissues. It is not uncommon to achieve up to 3 inches of reduction by the end of the course of treatments. Ultimately the result may vary depending on the individual's different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medication, and changes in hormones. Try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and you shouldn't have any problems.

Can I lose weight with Ultrasonic Cavitation?

Fat Cavitation is not a treatment for obesity nor is it a weight loss procedure. Rather is a method for 'reshaping' and 'toning' the body. It is particularly intended to reduce localized fat tissues which are resistant to exercise around the abdomen (love handles), buttocks, and thighs (saddle bags), that won't easily go away by simple dieting and exercise.

Are there any side effects with this treatment?

There are virtually no side effects. However on rare occasions, there may be a slight possibility of mild side effects such as transient redness, excessive thirst or nausea immediately after the treatment which is invariably resolved by drinking water. These are all short-term effects that generally disappear in a few hours.

What Guidelines should I follow pre-treatment and post treatment?

Drink plenty of water. Drinking water is a necessary part of the treatment to facilitate the elimination of the broken down fat. Maintain a low calorie diet for a few days after the treatment to ensure that the energy released by the treatment is properly utilized and metabolized by the body. After the treatment, clients are able to return to their daily activities as usual.

How many sessions are required to achieve the desired result?

It all depends on how much fatty deposits we are aiming to eliminate, normally we recommend between 5–10 treatments. However you should begin to see significant 'results' from the third session onwards. The body takes about 7 to 10 days to eliminate the fat from each session therefore we recommend an interval of 1 week between treatment sessions.

What are the 'contraindications' with Ultrasonic Cavitation?

Ultrasonic cavitation treatment is not for everybody. Even though it is a safe and painless procedure, nevertheless there are contraindications for using cavitation devices for treatment of localised fat. Such contraindications will depend on the individual's medical history. Thus people with kidney failure, liver failure, heart disease, carrying a pacemaker, pregnancy, etc. are not suitable candidates for the cavitation treatment.

Are the results of ultrasonic cavitation similar to liposuction?

The ultrasonic cavitation can be considered as a treatment alternative to surgical liposuction. Both treatments are designed to reduce fatty tissues. However, Liposuction is 'invasive' while Ultrasonic Cavitation is non-invasive.

Does it work?

Absolutely, but don't take our word for it. We encourage all of our patients to research Cryolipolysis prior to their procedure. There is a significant research which proves the effectiveness of the procedure.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the procedure varies depending on the requirements of individual patients. We encourage our customers to book a free consultation where we will discuss the size of the areas that you would like treated. Rest assured Vcare Clinic strives to provide the Cryolipolysis procedure at a significantly more affordable rate than our competitors.

How does it work?

Simply put,Cryolipolysis® results in cell death. An increased inflammation recruits a number of immune cells into the area of freezing, resulting in mediating lysis (death) of fatty cells. This then results in a gradual slimming of the targeted area within several weeks.

Where do the fat cells go?

Simply put, your body digests them. Just like any energy source they are cleared through the lymphatic system.

Will I put the weight back on?

Our bodies contain a fixed number of fat cells and therefore will not reproduce. However, an individual's excessive calorie intake could trigger the remaining fats cells to compensate and increase in size. It is therefore imperative to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but don't worry here at Vcare clinic we also give nutritional advice. We will support you every step of the way, even after the procedure.

Are there any side effects?

This is a common Cryolipolysis FAQ. There are no adverse long-term effects associated with Cryolipolysis®. The concept is based on the susceptibility of fat cells to the cold. It is proven that our skin and fat are affected at different temperatures; therefore you can freeze the fat but not harm the skin. With that said patients may experience a little bruising and numbness, which tends to last several days.
